dear lazyweb...
...as some of you know, my current flat comes with a couple of odd-looking and surprisingly comfortable cushiony floor-chair-things. Does anyone have any idea where I might acquire another, to put in the new room to which I am (slowly) moving, for a decent price? I can find loads on the Internet, but in the UK the closest I've been able to find is Backjack floor chairs, which would be ideal if they weren't so damned expensive!

Also, if anyone can give me advice on disassembling an office chair, I'd really appreciate it. (The chair came flat-packed from Argos, and I've lost the assembly instructions, otherwise I'd just try to reverse the process.)

No info on the first I'm afraid. Re office chair, I'm assuming it's of the swivel variety. They are usually complete bastards to disassemble as a lot of the screws often have click-into-place plastic covers which can be very hard, if not impossible, to get back off. Other than that..

See if you can find any small plastic plugs that you can fiddle out, often there will be a screw or bolt of some kind behind them. The way the chair seat attaches to the lower frame will vary greatly depending on model, some can just be lifted off. The lower section will often have a main screw underneath the base, between the wheel "spokes", that attaches that part to the main stem. If you manage to take it apart that far, you should be able to pack the bits in among other things relatively easily.

You could ask nicely at Argos and see if you can get some new instructions (or whoever the company is that the chair is from).
